Default Hello!!

Hi everybody at HL !!

This is my first time in the Forum, I build my self a new pc and i surely will need some help from the community in way to resolve some questions i have in how to overclock an Ecs Ka3 mvp with an Amd athlon64x2 3800+.(I cant go over 2.35ghz stable).

Amd Athlon 64 X2 5200+ @ 3GHZ
2 Gig OCZ Titanium Series PC6400/DDR2 800Mhz EPP @ 1000 MHZ
Asus Crosshair
Zalman CNPS 9700 LED
Video Card XFX 8800 GTS 512 Alpha Dog Edition
HDD Seagate Barracuda 120G Sata
HDD Samsung 160G IDE
1 LG DVDRW DL
Thermaltake Purepower RX 600W
Viewsonic VA2226 Wide
Case has no brand
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bits

Oh yea, you should be able to hit somewhere around the 2.6 to 2.8 without issues! I am running the same CPU, and I hit 2.76 stable. So yea, be sure to build a signature with the complete system specs, and let see if we can......

Yep what case?

Also, that power supply could be holding you back some..

But then again it IS still 500W with a not-so-demanding system...won't know unless you grab a diff/better PSU and try the system with it.

P.S. You should be in the 2.7-2.8GHz range at least with that chip as s_i mentioned (even though we know every chip is individual and impossible to tell), so we'll get this checked out for ya.

I am thinking of buying a new PSU Coolermaster igreen 600W and see how it goes. Thanks for helping me out!!
