| Picked one of these up last week for $140 shipped, and a Samsung 1TB yesterday for $140 shipped, and then of course they drop the price again. The Samsung is one of the fastest TB drives, as it's only 3 platters (super high density). Newegg.com - 800GB and higher, Internal Hard Drives, Hard Drives, Computer Hardware |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | I tried to get Drew to buy that 1.5TB yesterday - he would have been the coolest geek on the block. |

| What's up with the falling prices? I'm not complaining, mind you, but in the past few month they've dropped a lot. Edit: I can't imagine the platter makers are feeling that much heat from the solid-state boys yet. ![]() |

| Just watch! I'm going to get like 20 old 80GB IDE drives and strap them all together and have the ultimate HD! Then I'll be the coolest! |

| Modder-ator | I'm always surprised with the Samsung F1 drives in reviews. They don't always top the charts in the typical benchmarks, but everytime a reviewer does file copy tests the Samsung drives almost always come out on top. I might have to step out of my Seagate box and try something new next time I need a new drive. But hopefully by then SSD's will have become more mainstream. |
