Default Wooden case mod

Hey guys,
Here's my official project log of Jazzy's Wooden Case mod...
I'm in a wood carving & sculpture class at school, and finished all the requirements 1/2 way through the alloted time, so i decided i'll use the remainder of it, and my wood-tech class next trimester to do a case-mod.
I'm in the "advanced" tech classes by now, they are just making up classes for me because i've taken everything else...
So here's what is going to be done:
-two hoops that act as handles at the top, and feet at the bottom will be steam-bent out of thin ash strips, and curved enough so they are smooth to the touch. There will be one in the front and one in the back

-Using cherry plywood i'll construct a box with poplar (or perhaps maple) rails for the cherry box. One side will have a large, simple window, hiding the PSU and optical drives. The layout will be similar to an antec 900/cm690 with the lower mounted PSU.

i'll have some CAD images up of my plan within a few days just so you guys can get a better idea of my plan.

The cherry box will be built around the frame of a beige box...As for hardware, i plan on my current rig (see sig) going in it.

Very cool man, can't wait to see some preliminary designs. I have a feeling that the image I have in my mind of this thing is WAY off base!
I'm just having a hard time picturing these "hoops"...

the hoops are 2 inch bars, essentially, that start at the floor, go up to the top of the case, and then some, then arch over it and back down.
There will be one in the front and the back.
Since that's the most confusing part to explain, i'll CAD-afy that part first, and post that...possibly by tonight

Wow, this sounds awesome... but yeah, I'm having a hard time visualizing it. Get those CAD sketches up ASAP!

This wood case was seen at QuakeCon 07

Even the keys are made out of wood, and the symbols are laser etched.

Hookay, i did up what the hoop should look like, i haven't decided if i want the bend gradual all the way through like it is, or it i want it more flat at the top and 2 sharper turns.
either way, these are what i meant by "hoops"
