Thumbs up UV Cathodes

do those UV Cathode kits actually have any visible light or can you only see UV light when UV reactive materials are in your case?

They have a purplish glow. So yes there is a visible light.

oh ok but is that enough to be considerably noticeable if there mounted at the bottom of a case with a window a few inches above?

I'd put one at the top and one at the bottom so that you have an even glow unless you're looking for something different.

They are noticeable in the dark but not so much during the day.

Where are you getting your UV cathodes from?

Coolerguys.com has great prices, but their shipping is 8 bucks. Shipping usually costs more than the item I buy from them =/
