| Do you think this will be possible? since i'm looking into a new heatsink. E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz 2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz gigabyte P35 S3L eVGA 7600GT Stock 120 gig seagate ULTRA X-Finity 600w Sonata 2 w/ top fan G5 Lazer Mouse |

| Modder-ator | Shor answer is NO. The fan is just too big and it would hit the PCI-Express slot. Your only chance would be to mod an 80mm or smaller fan onto it. And even if that worked, you would need to figure out how to make the fins on that side of the card (closest to the PCI-Express slot) shorter or bend them out of the way so they wouldn't hit the PCI-Express slot. I think your best bet for the fins would be to cut a few off short and then bend the others out of the way. THEN you still have to figure out how to mount it to the board once you got it to actually fit.... It would definately be a pretty impressive mod, so be sure to post pics if you attempt such a feat!!! :thup: |
