Crap i just realized i cant put a picture in here yet but the mod is a piece of dryer vent tubing mounted to the front of my tower and then mounted to a piece of cardboard in the window. How many posts do i have to make before i can attach pictures?

To insert pics, you first have to host them on a different site like Photobucket, then use the [IMG] tags to insert the pic into the post.

EXAMPLE:
PHP Code:
[IMG]http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb231/natephillips/108.jpg[/IMG]
And if done correctly it should look like this:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 + Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL + Thermalright HR-05 IFX
2GB G.Skill 800MHz F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB
Silverstone Decathlon 650W
Western Digital 250GB SATA II

I assume there's an exhaust fan on the case and it blows out the hot air a-la your dryer.

That looks just like my case that houses my XP3000+ system....
but as I am in FL I couldn't do that since the air outside is typically much warmer than it is inside. Maybe during the nights from Oct-April it would work well... but even summer nights where it rarely gets below 80ºF it would not be usable.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Yeah right on the front of the case where the tube is connected there is a fan that draws the cold air in plus four exhaust fans on the back of the tower. Also the fan on the chilltec cpu cooler and the one on my ram so the cold air is getting pretty well evenly distributed throughout the whole tower.

I've seen mods like this before actually. Definitely a cheap way to get amazing air cooling temps, especially during winter! I remember when I was in College in my dorm Room we opened the windows in the middle of winter and let it get freezing cold inside and my temps just kept dropping, and dropping, and dropping....

Yeah, I saw something like this but with water cooling. I remember someone put their radiator out the window during winter and they got amazing temps... Anyhow, great idea and mod!
