| Very nice! Looks like it was definitely due for a cleaning too ![]() I'm not very versed in watercooling, so please excuse the lame question. But why are there two tubes coming out of your CPU waterblock that get forced down to one tube of what looks like the same diameter? That seems like it would be a little self defeating. | ||||||||||||||

Of course, this could be done vice versa as well, I suppose, where the single tube in the middle removes the hot water, while the two outside tubes that are connected to a single tube are what provides the cool water to the block. Last edited by garetjax; June 13th, 2007 at 14:32. | |||||||||||||||

| I just don't get why you would bother having two tubes pulling water out seeing as it would be limited by the single tube flowing water in as well as the "bottleneck" of the two tubes down to one. Why not just have one tube for in and out or two tubes for both in and out? I guess I'm not questioning why you have the two tubes coming back into one (I can understand that), but why would a company design such a waterblock to make things complicated, does it really offer better performance somehow? | ||||||||||||||

| The block in question is a Danger Den BTX. The design was to have one connection go to the chipset and the the other to the GPU. Ideally a res with multiple inlets would eliminate the restrictive y connection. Later when the TDX block was released the performance was just the same but used less copper for manufacturing of the block. But in the end it is up to the end user to find a "working" solution, as here, we have a combo DD and Koolance set up that performs just fine. What the BTX and TDX blocks have in common is the "Jet" inserts that can fine tune the water inlet. Last edited by Lokie; June 13th, 2007 at 17:44. | ||||||||||||||
