OK, so I decided to do a worklog instead of a guide. Here's some starting pics to give you an idea of what I'm going for: ![]() ![]() Here's what the mobo standoffs will look like: ![]() And the materials. Six 3' bars of angle aluminum bar and a 24" x18" sheet of acrylic for the upper mobo tray and the lower tray also. ![]() More to come!

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I can't really test that theory, but I'd think you could mount the rad you want, with at most a little modification INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU |

Yeah. The problem with the Swiftech rads (judging by the pics) is that the placement of the holes for the barbs are in the wrong place. The problem for the Thermochill rads (again, judging by the pics) is the spacing for the fans.

That's a pretty good use for one of those! But I'd rather build my own tech station. More pics in a bit...

OK, more pics! I cut all the aluminum to size. I decided the station will be 12" wide by 18" long, but I haven't decided how tall to make it. Thoughts? Here's some pics of the cut aluminum. I'm just seeing if I cut the aluminum without messing up, and I don't think I did! It's off here and there, but overall I'm very pleased with myself. ![]() ![]() The plan is to cut the acrylic in half for the upper and lower sections. I'll go do that right now. Stay tuned!
