Candy V6000+

Ok, since Blake seems to be the only one here that is actively pursuing a case mod project, I figured I might as well start this thread now.

I was going to wait until This coming up Sunday to make a thread, but hey, figured what the heck.

Ok here are the striped down pictures of the main frame of the V6000+ Thermaltake all aluminum case.







What is going to be done, and why the "Candy V6000+"???

I will be taking this case, main door, and side panels to the powder coating shop on Saturday, and powder coating the entire case a color that is called
Transparent Red. This is an awesome color that looks almost exactly like a multicoat Lacquer candy apple red!!!!

All of the plastics will be trimmed gloss Black, and it will have a side window design, and an intake fan on the same side.

That is about it for now, I will post more pics as I progress on this project!!

Oh yea Blake, this will be completed before the Chey-lan in one month by the way

Sounds like a sweet project, can't wait to see what this paint looks like. My next project (yes, it's already being planned out to take my mind of the Ooze case) I want to paint the whole case. How much is it costing you to powdercoat all this stuff?

Nada, nothing, as the owner of the powdercoating shop is a good friend of mine that I have known since he was about 8 years old. He is now 23, so it has been awhile.

I will personally be doing the cleaning, anti-oxidizing, pretreatment, and spraying of the case, and sticking it into the oven. It has to bake at 400F for 20 to 25min to complete the finish.

There shop is the largest powdercoating shop in a 5 state region!!! I will have some pics of the shop and crew this weekend
