| Excellent linkage Rich. I just recently switched over to RAW, and you can do so much in post processing. Only problem is that it's hard to find good (cheap) software that will support your camera's RAW format. I ended up using the Digital Photo Professional software that came with my camera. Just some links to add with some info that you should know: White Balance Follies Understanding Histograms Both of which has helped me tremendously. |

| Yeah, really good. Whenever I shoot stuff I really care about shooting RAW is the only way to go. I got into it a few years ago when I got my now older Canon EOS 10D using Canon's Zoom Browser to work the images. Ron |

| I'm Evil | Canon is a fantastic company.....I have the new XSI and its the best camera I've ever used....it also comes with a decent software suite that includes a good image editor . | My last camera other than a Canon was my Nikon Coolpix 990 which was an OK camera. I love my EOS 10D but when finances allow I want to get a new digital SLR. Nice part is my lenses will be just fine with a nice new Canon body. I also want to update my Adobe Photoshop 7.0 someday. The newer versions will open and edit the RAW images shot with the Canon. Yellow's new camera is sweet and he just seems to have this eye for taking nice pictures. Next week I will be in W. Va. and if I stay sobre (just a little) I hope to get some good pictures. Ron |

| Thanks Ron! Yea, the 20D is a pretty sweet cam... I need some more lenses though! What lenses are you shooting with Ron? |

| I installed the hacked firmware on my Power Shot S3 some time ago, I found RAW was neat to play with, but not worth my time with its 10+ MB file sizes, and by the fact that different programs handle RAW files different. I found that with the hacked firmware, I could tweak it enough where JPEGs came out good enough. | T-Rex | I would say that's a very worthy note, considering there's no a lot of quality photo editors able to work with RAW format, unless you fork quite a big amount of money. |
