Any Adobe Lightroom users?

Anybody use Adobe Lightroom? I'm looking to step up from GIMP and Paint.NET to something a little easier to use, and Photoshop CS3 pretty expensive. I figure Lightroom is a good middle of the road solution. Anyone?

My dad has Lightroom, and he use's it ALL the time to edit his Photo's from his Canon 5D.
He loves it, the interface is WAY easy to use, very laid out, I'm going to be installing it on my compy soon.

I would definitely suggest it if you can't get CS3. And even then, CS3 and Lightroom are very different, except Lightroom is geared towards Photo editing while CS3 is for graphical design, although CS3 of course can be used for photo editing, but IMO Lightroom has more special options etc... that you can use on photo's.

So if you really like Graphical work AND photo editing, got for CS3, but if your just looking for Photo editing, Lightroom is the best thing on the planet.

BTW, Lightroom has a lot of cool things you can do with HDR AFTAIK.

Good to know. But still, $300 for Lightroom... I could get a whole OS for that much! Guess I got some saving to do...

I'm not sure, my dads the one who use's it, not me.

But I'm sure others here can tell you, or a quick google search.

And again, I said "AFAIK" meaning I'm pretty sure you can do HDR stuff, but not completely certain.
