Default RMA intel

ok with regards with sudden on/off wont post

Intel Rep took me a couple of minutes to communicate English language barrier, apparently he cant understand perfectly... then tech support comes and take the call...

at first he told me he cant RMA my CPU coz he need the information in the StockHSF which we all know noone use... i told him i throw it away two years ago... put me of hold for approx 1:15 then he comes back telling me the supervisor will put exception for now but just this time and i will not be able to RMA it ever again... lovely arent they, no waiting for RMA slip in my email. he told me it takes 10minutes for my RMA slip to get ready and be send to my email...

he also told me it takes 5-7 days process upon receipt of the product then 2day shipping well not bad enough... my computer is in big dump right now and everything is a mess, why on world putting Vista on sleep shorts a processor... Microsoft if it isnt for games i wont use your OS....

That's actually really good on Intel's part, both Intel and AMD can outright refuse to honor any warranty if you weren't using the stock HSF when the processor went belly up, they even have it in bold in their warranty sheet that comes with it. +10 internets for that rep.

Yup - kudos to Intel for taking care of the customer despite both throwing away the retail HSF, and admitting to not using it.

Stop to consider all the shit these companies put up with.......Head over to the XS or OCForums and you'll see endless threads of people RMAing perfectly good processors because theyu didn't get the stepping they wanted....people doing suicide OCs, and people telling others to put their processor in the microwave so they can get it RMA'd.......then think that replacing and shipping a new processor to these asshats is far from free...........considering all that, i think both AMD and INTEL do an exceptional job with their RMA policies.

putting aside the first guy i talk to whom took 5minutes to spell my name, and still got my email wrong lol... everything ran smoothly, i mailed it and i am waiting for result but now my main rig is down for the time being, so no hard fragging for me for now...

the only thing to be depressed about is this is the last month i'll enjoy being a civilian by next month i'll be transforming to a soldier... i cant play with my comp now...

in any case hoping for my success in my new career and i will be having dough to spend as soon as i get my vacation from bonuses

how can follow up my RMA aside from Phone with Intel cant find it at google search nor at Intel website... can anyone post link???

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but if you are looking for a way to track the progress of your RMA while it is Intel's hands, there aren't many (if any) companies that do that. Usually you send them the stuff and they take their sweet time testing/repairing/replacing it and then you get something back in the mail a month later. Did they say there was a way to track the RMA process?
