Default RMA - Asus

Recently I bought a Maximus Formula X38 motherboard and I have been having some trouble with it. Any time I make changes in the "Extreme Tweaker" section of the BIOS, the computer crashes. It then goes into a 2-3 second restart and then shuts down, and then restarts again. It goes through this loop until I clear the CMOS.

So, after getting some advice to RMA the board. I sent Asus an E-mail after work on Feb. 7. Since I sometimes get off very late at night, they wouldnt have received it until the 8th. On Monday, Feb.11 I get a reply asking for my shipping address and some other info. I sent them the info they asked for and today Feb. 13, they sent me an E-mail with instructions and an RMA number.

As of yet this hasn't been as bad as some of the stories I've heard in past dealings with Asus. I'll be sending my board out tomorrow or Friday, and I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck man!
I've heard only horror stories about Asus customer service. Only dealt with them once and it was mediocre at best, (3 weeks after shipping a board out I received the new one)

Sorry if that's scary haha.
Hope it goes well!

Getting an RMA number is one thing. Getting back your component is something else. Good luck.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

I've seen Capper post that ASUS is trying to fix their customer service issues and how the community perceives them. Maybe this will turn out good.

I had to RMA a board a year or so ago with Asus. They even did an advance exchange without charging my card (though they did take the card info obviously). All in all it was a good experience.

I am currently in the RMA process with Asus right now for a P5W DH that died on me. My past experiences with asus are that their RMA turnaround is the slowest of many companies including Gigabyte, Western Digital and Newegg, which are all decent IMO.

My board arrived at Asus on Friday, Feb 22 and last Wednesday(Feb.27) I tried going online to check the RMA status of my board but I couldnt get the page to work which sucks. So I Asus with the problem, and it said there would be a reply in 48 hours. So far, still no reply from them and I still cant seem to check the status of my board which is driving me nuts.(Which I am sure some of you can relate). Can I just call Asus and find out the status of my board or is online the only way to do it?

Yep the online RMA status check is busted. Asus shipped my new board back like 5 days ago.
