i was wondering why DFI Blood Iron P35 was deactivated in their site
Newegg.com - DFI BloodIron P35-T2RL LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail so i gave them
a call, waiting time is about 1min30sec, i was greeted nicely by Mr.Maverick, then
he was gladly entertain my questions:
1.Q:"why they did deactivated a couple of items which i would like to buy in next month?"
A:"Sir, unfortunately the only reason we deactivate items was that such items are no longer being carried by the company and i have no access to inventory and marketing department"
2.Q:"would they be having those items anytime soon?"
A:"I dont believe so Sir, once its deactivated they might, but not sure, be carrying newer versions of the item and be having them soon."

they are really polite, RMA process is fast too, and delivery team up with UPS and FEDex is great never had problem with them.

the sad part is i dont know if they will have the DFI BLood iron anytime soon or could be never.

Yeah I was looking at buying that instead of a P35-DS3L but they already deactivated it.

I have seen this done before when a new revision is released, the old one gets deactivated for a few days to a few weeks until the new revision comes in. I ran into this issue when I went to order my current 965P-DS3 board, it was not a valid item anymore... waited a few days and the new ver3.3 were available and thats when I ordered it.

I have also had fantastic RMA support from Newegg through the past few years.

He told me they were showing in stock for online shipping but numbered few and would probably be out of stock by the time they got to my order.They would be on back order for 5 to 7 days,untill restock.I cant see the item being completely discontinued so like stated above,probably just an upgrade etc.

Wow, that board had such a short shelf life... hopefully DFI will replace it with something better!
