Default MSI Online RMA

Filled out MSI's online RMA form for a faulty HD 3870 videocard, and was told to "Please allow 48 hours (excluding Sat., Sun.) to process your rma request." Instead, I received an RMA number in under an hour, on Sunday.

Will ship the card tomorrow and update when relevant.

Nice. Apparently it was better than my own RMA with MSI last year, when I filled a form that wouldn't work and had to find a way to contact MSI to tell them it was broken.
The waiting was the problematic part though, around 1 month to get my motherboard back.

I've been impressed with MSI's RMA service before - I killed a K8N Neo2 Platinum board a few years ago, and getting it replaced was as easy as filling out an online form and sending it in.

That was my favorite s939 motherboard. Lost it in the tornado too. The first one I had I burned up, my own damned fault too, while playing around with an older AMD 3500 single core CPU, a victim of my only foray into LN2. I told MSI I had frozen the board trying to overclock a CPU and they still replaced it for free. Wasn't as fast as I had thought it should be, took about 3 weeks, but I wasn't complaining either. By all rights, I should have had to buy a new one.

~UPDATE~
Replacement videocard arrived this morning, right on schedule. Will give a final update when I verify it works. In the meantime, this rates as a very smooth, hassle free experience - no restrictive registration requirements or proof of purchase requested.
