Default Microsoft Vista Re-Activation

You know, for all the flack microsoft gets for their Vista activation, its not that bad really. Just installed my build into the Matrix VX blake customized, swapped the Processor and some stuff so i reinstalled my Vista Home Premium. Obviously it goes version's been activated, please contact microsoft. Called them at 12AM EST, the automated machine couldn't understand a damn word i said, got patched through to a customer service rep. If anyone's never dealt with this reactivation, you have a 48 number "activation code" that is split into 8 groups of 6. You have to tell them that code then you get the unlock code or something like that.
Anyway, got Jose on the phone and we went 1 by 1 to get my code corrected. He asked a few questions about what make the computer was (told him custom built), what version windows, and what did i do to need reactivation. Then he rattled off the 48 number unlock code to me, going over it twice and waiting for my activation to go through before hanging up with me. I mean overall, very nice and a lot better than I expected from microsoft, even that late they had someone coherent and helpful, unlike 99% of tech support from a lot of other companies at that hour.

Default Re: Microsoft Vista Re-Activation

Yeah, people give them a lot of crap about their activation and validation, and while it does cause issues from time to time, generally a quick call to MS takes care of it. And honestly, who can blame them for trying to protect their assets (even if it doesn't work very well).
