| I'm Evil | I bought a camcorder right affter Christmas, with the intention of using it for video reviews and guides, as well as family stuff. I settled on a Canon HG10 HiDef camcorder because I've owned a couple of their cameras and always been extremely happy. I picked up the camcorder from Best Buy, got it home, and found that the HD cables were missing from the package. I went back to Best Buy, but they didn't have any more in stock, and it would be a week or two until they got more in.....so I contacted Canon directly and explained the situation to them. Less than 15 minutes after filling out the online form and submitting the email, i got a response from Canon apologizing for the problem, and telling me that within 24 hrs I woulget get a shipping number for my new cables. Less than an hour later I got a tracking number, and the next day I got the package containing all of the cables that came with the camcorder....even the ones that were not missing. I've dealt with Canon several times on a personal level, and swear by their products, and now their customer service and support. | Canon is a fantastic company. I haven't had the opportunity to deal with their customer support yet (haven't had too) but I have used their products and own two cameras and a camcorder made by them. Every time someone asks me for recommendations for cameras I always tell them to look at a Canon first. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| Wow, that's awesome. I am thinking of getting a new camera, and now it's definitely going to be a Canon. I was already looking at their cameras (specifically the G9 or the S5) but this just seals the deal. BTW, how are you liking the camcorder? | I'm Evil | The camcorder is awesome....I've considered reviewing it. Up to 10hrs of HD video, excellent still pics, 40GB HDD,...and I picked up a 10hr battery for it. I bought Jaemie a Canon PowerShot SD1000 for Christmas, and she loves it....its a really nice camera. | Some video reviews would be great, but please don't make them like a certain Not-in-2D-Gameman's video reviews, if you catch my drift... ![]() Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 + Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL + Thermalright HR-05 IFX 2GB G.Skill 800MHz F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB Silverstone Decathlon 650W Western Digital 250GB SATA II |

| Super Moderator | I am totally sold on Canon from cameras to printers. Yes, they cost a pretty penny - but I have to say that I have never had a complaint on a canon product. Even my pro-sumer wide format HP photo printer (which I love) isn't as nice as the canon - just cheaper (by a lot). I guess what I am saying is that there are better products in some cases, but canon is always consistently a good product IMO - IME. They seem to actually care how end users will experience their product. I've actually field tested a few of their cameras (ELF and SLR) and I have to say they are rugged - I'm on my 3rd xti 50mm lens - but the body survived three 10 foot drops. (OK, so I lost 2 lenses - but it's what I do - the canons have held up better than HPs or Nikons) |

| Lvl 1 College Student | I love my MP510 printer, and the individual color cartridges is quite convenient. Also, I've used the Rebel XTi for a class back in high school and it is by far the most amazing piece of photography equipment I've ever used. Glad to know that Canon sticks by their stuff so expertly. I guess they've learned that if you spend an extra $40 getting someone the right stuff quickly, they'll be glad to buy your product over some other company's product. As I am :) |
