Default xbox surround sound and tv

My son purchased a surround sound (used) with no directions. He would like to know how to hook it up so all works together? Anyone have a schematic of sorts or know where to look it up?

I think you are going to need a receiver to tie it all together. Something that outputs at least 5.1 surround sound. I have never hooked up an xbox but I have hooked up plenty other shit. Foolow this guide here.

I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review

What surround sound system did he buy? Is it a computer speaker setup with an amp in the subwoofer or are they standalone speakers?

He paid $160. A double Christmas gift the guy had,so sold a unit factory sealed with all paperwork.Somehow the story got confuzzled between the him,the wife,to me nonetheless,he has gone to Circuit City to get a cable he needs.

The easiest way to hook that up would be to run the yellow, red, and white cables from the XBox to the Samsung DVD changer as inputs. Then run the component video (yellow cable) out from the DVD changer to the TV and connect the Samsung speakers to the Samsung DVD changer normally. You shouldn't have to buy any extra cables.

Im not quite so sure what is happening here so forgive me if I am wrong but could you not just set up as normal and run an opical bale from the Xbox (on the white red yellow to scart plug to the DVD player.

Make sure you set the Xbox to output using the optical not scart.

I may be a wrong though!!

EDIT: ok i just saw the dates and im a long way behind you guys!!

Not only that, but nobody or almost out of Europe uses scart. :P

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?
