| I never liked wireless because of the batteries involved. also imagine your batteries run out in the middle of the night when you really need them :) Main rig: Chieftec modded case,MSI P4N Diamond, D830@3.48Ghz,1.4V,928FSB 2GB patriot Extreme Performance 6400@900Mhz, 4-4-4-17 Inno3D 7900GT@542Mhz/1.6Ghz, Thermalright SI-97 Samsung 320GB, Maxtor 250GB; Antec 500W Swiftech NB, Asus StarIceBlue CPU cooler; XP Pro Laptop: Dell XPS 1530 (T7500; 3GB 667 RAM; 160GB 7200rpm HDD; 8600GT; Vista 32bit) my 6800LE mod |

The mouse my guys have has it's own charging base with a built in battery. Pretty handy to throw it in the base when the meter runs low, or when you think it needs it. | mice like the G7, has the type of batteries that have a memory, so if they aren't fully discharged when you charge them, they lose a certain amount of the full charge. happened to my buddy and within 2 months both his g7 batteries were shot |

| One of the larger LAN parties I attended in the past had two guys with the same wireless keyboard/mouse combination that caused interference with each other. I know they are supposed to have different "channels" that they communicate with, but when one tried to change, it didn't make a difference. Solution for that LAN? One had to switch to a wired keyboard/mouse. The newer keyboards and pointing devices are likely to have solved this issue, but I'm still wary. ____________________________ _= AMD 2700+ OC'd to 3200 =_ -=1GB RAM, ATI 9600XT 512MB=- -------------------------------- |

| Wireless keyboard and mice are not good for gaming unless you have a top of the line Logitech/Microsoft set like the G7. I absolutely hate the interefrence caused by them and the slow reaction rate. Unless you are setting up a home theater or an office with one computer and you have no intentions of going to a LAN, stick with wired. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| Super Moderator | Just quick reviewed 2 of these (Why 2? Long story) Cordless Desktops > Logitech® Cordless Desktop® LX 710 Laser Have to say they are pretty nice. Very comfortable and a bit quiet. Keys are a bit stiff, but I like that - positive feel. They don't feel cheap like some do. Mouse is well designed. Worked out of the box (including function keys) without a driver disk. Response time is not really an issue, but its also not designed for gaming. If you do multimedia - you'll like it. You won't notice any lag unless you are working from across the room. As far as interference goes, you would only get it (if you got it at all) would be in a LAN situation. I'm not gonna recommend it because I don't know what you want to do with it, but I will say I'm buying one for myself :) Manta |

| I'm Diggin it! | Another vote from me for the wired set. Wireless is cool for for everything except gaming. There are some mice out now that are around $80 that are supposed to be good for gaming, but I'm not going back to wireless. Too many issues with cell phones, microwaves, wireless routers, etc. I'd get weird movements/lack of movements every time someone turned on the microwave.
