| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Thermaltake keeps themselves busy churning out computer cases, CPU coolers, and power supplies, but don't label them a 3-trick pony. Venturing into previously unchartered territory for Thermaltake, today we're looking at their Max 4 external HDD enclosure. - Blake Terhune Read More... | Good review Blake. I can see that eSata is the way to go for connection. |

On good boards you will have an integrated eSATA anyway, and eSATA is even becoming present on certain cases front headers. :) I will receive my enclosure soon enough (Vantec brand). I've had a hard time deciding on something that had good looks, good pricing but would also keep my drive cool silently. I didn't want to add a fan outside my computer (if you look at most offerings you will see they include some type of fan) as I am in the process of silencing my whole computer. I'll try to chime in regarding my experiences with it. =] | |

| Lvl 1 College Student | d00000000000000000000000d this enclosure kicks ass and takes names! Ok, I noticed its not in the review, but when you unmount/eject the hdd or unplug the usb port (no eSata on my laptop >.>) it TURNS ITSELF OFF! and its not just a power cut, it actually does a soft-shutdown! <3!! That always made me sad/hurt on the inside when I would shut off my old hdd by flicking a switch and then it would go "pkeeewwww...................e......e.......e..... " |
