Default SteelSeries 3H USB Headphones Review

Let’s face it. Those of us who play games sometimes lose track of time and have been known to have marathon sessions sitting in front of our computers. Whether it be destroying giant robots or blasting off head shots, we love the sound of explosions and gunfire. Unfortunately, our family members or neighbors might not share our enthusiasm for loud sounds at 2:30AM. Luckily for us, there are lots of choices for quality headsets out there that cover all the different price points, so it is easy to find several within your budget. Enter SteelSeries, a Danish company that caters to gamers...

I'll definitely have to look into these. I'm in the market after accidentally yanking the wires out of the PCB on my Barracuda's (stupid chair...) The price is right and I've never used a steel series product that didn't live up to its name. Nice review.

After having my dog chew through the wires on my last headset, I too am looking for a new pair of headphones. However, not having a way to control the volume outside of my OS environment is a deal breaker. Great review though! Not often you hear of a good sounding pair of headphones for $50!

Diggin it.

Speaking of chewed wires, Rich (Capper) was telling me just a few days ago that his cat chewed on a SATA wire, ripping a SATA port out of his $300 mobo.

Off-topic, yes (I've reprimanded myself), but it ties in with the chewed wire banter.

Steelseries is a great company. I've been in contact with them for a long time now because they sponsor my LAN. We've gotten one of these in the past and they were pretty good. I thought the cups for your ears were a bit small though.

Ohhh they look pretty good for $50. I tend to go into 4 to 6 hour gaming sessions or have LAN party's up to 12 hours long. Do you think they will keep cofortable over that amount of time One4?

That's a question for RAID - he handled the review on this headset.
