Default Sony PSP Question...

Well, two questions actually. My dad and stepmom offered to buy my son a Sony PSP as an early birthday gift. So...

1) Is there a specific version/revision that I should be looking for, that possibly addresses any known issues such as stuck pixels, compability, etc? I know PSP's can be firmware upgraded, but aside from that, I haven't followed the PSP market and whether there have been revisions or not to actual hardware.

2) Anyone know of any good deals or coupon codes?

Wish I could help ya man, but I'm about as clueless as you are when it comes to the PSP. Just letting you know so you didn't think I was ignoring you

All's well that ends well, I hit up eBay and got the following for $230 shipped/insured (LINK):

Sony PSP unit
1GB memory stick
Prince of Persia Revelations game
Death Jr. game
X-Men Legends II game
Headphones
Metal carrying case
Some other odds and ends (possibly a car charger)

Not too shabby, considering a new unit w/o accessories or games would run $212 after tax. :D
