I personally think Raptors are way overrated (and I own a pair of 150GB Raptors)...they are hot, noisy, and expensive.

I also have a Seagate 750GB HDD and like it very much......I'd definitely recommend a higher capacity drive thats not noticeably slower in performance and is cheaper.

I agree with Capper, I have two 7200.11 drives: 120GB and a 320GB and they both work great, cool and quiet. Especially nowadays with SATA 3.0Gb connections, they are not slower by any noticeable bit. Only on certain benchmarks does it tell you that it is a second or two slower.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I also agree with capper, more capacity is better. Raptors suck IMO

I've got two of the Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB cache drives myself, and I must say they are very quiet and very fast! I Highly suggest them!

when the SATA drives first came out and were still a bit pricey, the Raptors were awesome compared to the PATA drives but nowadays with the SATA 3.0Gb speeds, they are pretty much only for those that want benchmark bragging rights.
