I also have a Seagate 750GB HDD and like it very much......I'd definitely recommend a higher capacity drive thats not noticeably slower in performance and is cheaper. Especially nowadays with SATA 3.0Gb connections, they are not slower by any noticeable bit. Only on certain benchmarks does it tell you that it is a second or two slower.  Thanks HL and Corsair! | Re: Seagate Barracuda ST3500320AS 7200.11 500GB when the SATA drives first came out and were still a bit pricey, the Raptors were awesome compared to the PATA drives but nowadays with the SATA 3.0Gb speeds, they are pretty much only for those that want benchmark bragging rights.
