| Picked myself up a new LCd last weekend. The Samsung SyncMaster 1080p 24" widescreen (245bw) So far its a little overwelming becasue of the size difference from my 22". The LCd came assembled with the stand, which swivels and the LCd can be raised to suit your needs. Have tried a few games, mainly COD2, and to be honest, this is going to take a little time to get used to. I honestly felt a littel sick after 8 minutes or so.... hopefully that will go away!!! heres the specs for the LCD.... Mfr. | What do you think about the viewing angle of this monitor? Like does the color/contrast get distorted when you move your level of eyesight from the top edge of the screen down to the bottom? I upgraded from a 15" LCD directly to a 24". THAT was an adjustment!! ![]() ![]() Last edited by gvblake22; March 18th, 2008 at 16:23. | ||||||||||||||

| From owning the same monitor, albeit not glossy (245B) I can say that the viewing angle is indeed narrow, which can cause a problem seeing the type of the panel. However since the screen is extremely mobile on it's stand, you can adjust it so it's dead on in your face. You need to be around 2 feet of the monitor to get the best visual experience. What bothers me the most about it though is the backlight bleeding on all sides of the monitor, mostly noticeable on top and bottom though. It's hard to discern on brighter pictures but on black it's quite visible. You have to fiddle a bit with the settings too to get the best picture, because by default the image will be washed out. However, considered how cheap it was when I bought it, I don't regret. :) ![]() If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you? | ||||||||||||||
