| tbh, i don't see why you'd pay that premium for that monitor. Its a TN Panel, and ok sure the Contrast Ratio is big on paper, and its fast MS, but would the avg person REALLY see a difference? I myself use the P241 Monitor thats 3000:1 ratio, 5ms, TN Panel and i think its just fine. I can't justify spending that much on a monitor of that quality |

| This or This may help in your decision don't be fooled by the date of the one article it is as up to date as anything out there. Check out there reviews they are current and I suspect the article has been updated without the date of the original article being changed. In essence TN panels are the #1 choice for gamers and average user for many reasons not the least of which is there fast response times, decent rendering and of course cheap price. Keep in mind the other more sophisticated technologies are limited in availability and high in price. and They also there limitations as well. I feel the TN's are the best bang for the buck at this time and the 50,000 to 1 Dynamic contrast ratio of the G24 is impressive but it's not the actual contrast ratio which is about 400nit of brightness. Still impressive and cutting edge for a monitor of this type and should go some way in resolving one of the draw backs of TN panels. Acer is not known for putting out great Flat panels but this could be an exception. If you want to break in to a better tech look at the Samsung SM245T but it is even more expensive. google it. At 280 euro or 426 US for the G24 with cutting edge tech it really doesn't seem to bad to me albeit a bit pricey.... besides with HDMI connectivity and the copper color it's pretty cool. lol I might wait to see some serious reviews though and posibly a different color. In any case..... Good Luck!
