X-Bit Labs has a decent roundup of monitors. You can check out their 20" - 22" LCD Monitors Buyer's Guide here...

I personally like the Samsung monitors, specifically for movie/video watching. Some say they're too bright for gameplay, but i have no issues with it. Its a preference thing. Oh and yes i know samsung doesn't actually make their on LCD panels for their LCD monitors (ironic, they make Sony's LCD panel), but the new line of Samsung LCDs look sweet. They are adapting to what the market wants now, Glossy LCD panels. I myself have a 216BW that i love.

I have a Gateway 19" widescreen, and it's pretty good, IMO... I'd recommend Gateway.

Well ... you gotto love Costco's return policy. I took it in and got a refund and bought a 216BW for $55 less.

It is a better monitor as well.

I wanted the DoubleSight DS-245W Black 24" 6ms DVI since they are one of the very few if only ones to use the Samsung S-PVA Panel with True 8-bit Colors.

I suspect they will be the monitor to get very soon. They are only available online ... I just can't buy a monitor that I can't take back easily. Love newegg ... but not their policy for LCD's.

I really like it ... hated to pay $270 when it has recently been down to $230 ... but hey ... I actually got money back on top of the trade of my dead monitor back to Costco.
