I don't see any cards that will do more than 2 monitors. I did see a motherboard the other day that had 3 pcie slots, but I think 2 were for graphics and one was a physics slot. I can't for the life of me remember what board it was though. It was one of the big name new boards though. Maybe Rich knows.

Probably some kind of video splitter device.

I know that the quadro professional line of graphics cards from nVidia will do 4 monitors, but they also have a professional price.

This card will support 4 monitors - only $285! lol

You could buy cheap PCI graphics cards that support 2 monitors, put 2 or 3 of those in and you in theory you should be able to run 6-8 monitors. Note that I said "in theory", since I have never tried running more than 3 monitors under WinXP.

PC_Guy is right, for that many monitors your gonna pay. Unless your doing video editing, or something like that I don't see why you would need more then 4 monitors. Please explain to us your reason, I am curious.

Man, if I had 4 monitors for my editing in Final Cut Pro... That would be heaven.

But yeah, you get an SLI set and a PCI card (by the same manufacturer - i.e. nVidia or ATi).

- Core 2 Quad Q6600
- DFI Infinity 975X
- 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800
- 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM
- ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB
- Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W
- Acer 19" P191W Monitor
- Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution

Monitors are easy to come by if you don't mind small ones. I see 15" CRTs at garage sales all the time for around $10. You can pick up 15" LCDs for around $30. They aren't the best but if you just want monitors its a cheap route.

15" LCDs... I can do that. I should get a quad display setup for that. That would be sweet. But it's at school.

You just have to look around, and be willing to deal with used stuff, which sometimes can be a real PITA. You can check ebay, but I would only buy LCDs on Ebay, cause shipping even a 15" CRT wouldn't be worth it. I would suggest looking locally first. Check News paper classified ads, for sale boards at grocery stores, even Mom and Pop computer shops.
