| That's probably from the shadow. It's more of a gray. I couldn't find any information on whether it was HDCP or not. If you're going for an HD monitor, make sure it has this feature (eventually, you're gonna buy HD DVD/Blu-Ray burners). - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |

| I didn't know what HDCP meant so I googled it, from what i gathered does being HDCP just mean that the moniter's connection is a DVI, or am i way off? EDIT:Lol never mind, i think i know what it is now, but is HDCP the same as HDMI? Computer Alliance this one, says it's HDCP ready, so i guess that means it's HD aswell, plus it's black which goes with my PC. Do PC games and programs even use HD or is it just if your gonna watch movies or TV on it? | What do you mean by scaling? If you mean resolution changing, most LCDs from what I've seen look pretty horrible at anything but their native resolution. Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| yeah, native resolution is the only way to go... i got my comp hook up with my HDMI TV, the resolution is way off... i did underscan with nvdia control panel... just won't work separate resolutions... it always take the primary monitor's resolution making the other HDMI off the scaling... | Modder-ator | HDCP stands for "High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection". High-definition sources such as BluRay and HD-DVD will not play unless they can send the signal through an HDCP compliant connection. HDCP can be added to an HDMI interface as well as DVI, so you don't have to have an HDMI connection to have HDCP. Hopefully that wasn't too many acronyms! ![]() As for your monitor choice, do you want it do to anything special or are you just using it strictly as a computer monitor? As Sameer mentioned, HDCP is a good thing to have because it is likely you'll have this monitor for quite some time and even more likely that you will get a Blu Ray or HD-DVD drive for your computer to watch High-definition content sometime during the lifespan of the monitor. That BenQ model is a decent, middle of the road monitor. The contrast ratio (700:1) is a little an the low end, but should still produce a good image. If you're looking for a basic 22" screen for computer use and the BenQ fits your budget, then you should be happy with it. |

Anyone use this particular one? EDIT: i just realized the manufacturer site and shop site have different specs???
