| My college doesn't like it when people plug routers into their Ethernet ports. Supposedly they can catch you and cut off your internet (not to mention your roommate will cut off your head too). However, they do not check for wireless signals (I know this because there are people who use wireless routers that are hooked up the way I'm going to do it). I have two Gigabit ports on my K8N Diamond Plus. One is hooked to the wall, and the other is hooked to the laptop. However, it is very annoying to have to deal with cables for the laptop; they barely reach over to my bed. I'm thinking of buying a router and plugging it into the second port instead. What kind of cheap wireless router would you recommend I look at? |

| Functional Alcoholic | It works, just internet connection share to the desktops wireless card. Then set the wireless card to adhoc. The laptop just pick the connection right up. You can set the security settings just like you would on a wireless router. |
