Exactly. Also, when are you looking to make a purchase?

Looking to purchase within next week, I would like to stay $450 and under. Mostly gaming with some work mixed in.

I have a Gateway monitor, and love it. I've heard great things about the Dell monitors as well.

I got a Dell 2407FWP not too long ago. Played everything from Flgiht Sim X to Need for Speed on over to COD4, HL2 and so on. Everything looks fantastic on this thing. Lots of connection options, no HDMI...but I can live with that. OSD controls are great and extremely little edge bleed through. But you aren't going to get it for $450. Those things run $599 on sale.

But after having gotten used to it, I can't stand using anything smaller.

Thing is, I don't know how well that 1900 of yours will push that sucker. Its native res is 1920x1200. I recommend an 8800GTS 640Mb class video card, or better.

well i don't know about this model specifically, but i know samsung makes some of dell's panels
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 245BW Black 24" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with Height Adjustment 400 cd/m2 1000:1 (DC 3000:1) - Retail
i think that's the best you'll do for your budget

oh and you'll wanna upgrade your vid card like Quakin says, anything below a 8800GTS/HD3870 will not run at 1920X1200 well at all.

I own this monitor. It's decent, a budget minded option. The main problem with it would be the viewing angle. It's very small, and with such a big monitor it can create some darker spots if you're not centered well.
