No, G5 vs MX510. There's a few differences that I'd like to point out between the old MX510 and the new G5. If you haven't noticed already, this G5 has a forward button!

Ahhhh yes I recall now. Many people have different opinions on it. This DEFINITELY deserves a "VS" review.

EDIT:

That's definitely annoying...my G5 doesn't have both the back/forward buttons...just back...and I thought they were all like that...wtf?

that was the MX518 mouse i let my wife have, i've changed into Razer DeathAdder... i has to say i was satified with that mouse, if i didnt had a chance of buying the Razer i'll stick to that one
that one is very good, never have a chance to use G5 though....

Yah, I needed a new mouse sooner than later, and I decided to pick one up today. I saw CC had the new G5 for $60, so what the heck. Honestly, if Logitech hadn't revised the G5, I would've gotten the MX518, which has a slightly lower res (1600 dpi vs 2000 in the G5), but retains the all-important forward button, which I use very much.

Yeah, it was a design blunder IMO. I don't know exactly why they left it out, considering it was just another button. I guess they underestimated how many people actually press forward these days. I'm glad it's back.
