Great review, I have used one of these for about 2 years now and I choose this one over my razor death adder! Such a comfortable mouse, and so well balanced. Nice review Ryan.

Same here. Even had one die, and they sent me out a new one no questions asked.

best mouse i've ever used, mine's still kicking after 4 years.
Tried a whole bunch of others (The whole G series, Microsoft's Sidewinder, Razer Copperheads), always went back to my MX518.

The 518 was an amazing mouse, that's for sure. I moved on to the newer style g5 though... it feels just like my 518 shape wise, but the texture and added weight lets me run it at the higher dpi's... i just could never get used to using the 518 at around 1600 dpi or so, and the g5 lets me run it at that or higher without any trouble.

Great mouse though... just a great mouse. (the 518).

:D w00

2 things worth pointing out:
1) I think I put the wrong picture for the title (what appears on the main page). Here is a green-screened photo @ 250x250
http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...se-250x250.jpg
and here is one with a similar gradient
http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...0-gradient.jpg

I just corrected it, hopefully it doesn't explode the server.

2) Since I wrote that, they've upgraded their software to include independent X & Y sensitivities (update was released in late July). Not sure what to do there, include a PS: on the review?

Now time to tackle the SilverStone Raven.... Not quite sure what to make of that bigass knob on the left, but should still be interesting :)

I'll have to find someone who's got Vista cuz it looks like its made designed mostly for Vista (works in XP still). Now where is that disk.....

It seems like something people who get paid to play games would use...
