Default Logitech G7 Mouse Question...

Anybody own one? I bought it when I put together my new build back in Dec/January and I just today took it out of it's box. Previously I was using the MX700.

It's sleek and sensitive, but I'm having a tough time adjusting to the middle mouse button. Clicking (as opposed to tilting) seems needlessly difficult and I'm hoping it's something I grow used to rather than have it being a persistent pet peeve.

I'm contemplating writing up a review for the site, but wanted to hear some feedback first from anyone that's own and operated this mouse for more than a day. With regards to the middle mouse button, I assume it's the same as found on the MX1000 so if you own one of those, feel free to sound off.

I have an MX512, and although it is extremely comfortable, I find it is too heavy for my tastes. I like to pick the mouse up a lot and move it all over the place and therefor I need something a little lighter, but one that still has nice "grooves" in the sides for my fingers (so it is easy to pick up). In short, I'm still searching for that "perfect mouse"

I have the logitech MX518 now and I had a credit on computer geeks website for 80 bucks. They had nothing I needed so I ordered the G7 the other day.
I'll be in the learning prossess same as you on this one.
I do hear it's a great mouse.
Not sure if I will like it beter than my 518 though.
It should be here in 3 or 4 days and I'll let ya know what I think.

LOL well the problem was the credit. Iv had it for a couple of months there's just nothing on that site I needed. I had ordered a hard drive from them for my wifes computer and ended up returning it.
So I sat here for months waiting for them to get something new in I needed.
Never happened so I figured Id order something I mite just use. And I didnt want to spend anymore money so that kinda limited me.

I don't know about the G7, but my MX518 feels like the perfect mouse.
