| I'm looking into getting a new mouse. The G5 and the MX 518 are similiarly priced. What is the difference? I know the the MX518 has 1600dpi whereas the G5 has 2000dpi. Which one is fatter//slimmer, etc. E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz 2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz gigabyte P35 S3L eVGA 7600GT Stock 120 gig seagate ULTRA X-Finity 600w Sonata 2 w/ top fan G5 Lazer Mouse |

| BAM-BAM | I have the mx518, and I love it. But for you it may not work, you just need to go try them out and see what you like for yourself. What works for me may not work for you. -1 |

| i've played around with the MX518 and loved it. I'm just wondering if the G5 might be a better buy for some reason that is unknown to me. | BAM-BAM | I would say just buy what you like there really isnt any difference b/t the 2. the only thing I dont like about the logitech mice or any of their products is all of the bloatware they include with their products. -1 |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I have the G5 and use it on our test bench.....its an OK mouse, but nothing I'd pay a bunch of money for. | Modder-ator | I think the feel of the MX and the G5 are going to be very similar. The G5 has the changeable weights so you can't really compare weight, but the MX is probably gonna weigh about as much as the G5 with no weights. I'm using an MX-510 and it's pretty decent. |

| i have both mice, and have at least 150hrs of gaming logged on each. they are both spectacular, and are both great choices, but the g5 has a nice grippy feel that feels too much for a few hours, but feels just right very soon. Also the wheel on the G5 sticks up more, and feels more accurate, however sometimes the tilt-feature interferes. i do miss the dual-buttons on the mx518, but the comfort, weight, and accuracy of the G5 certainly make up for it. Also the G5 is more comfortable. I know the two mice looks very, very similar, but if you game for a while with both, you do notice a very prominent difference. G5 ftw. |

| G5 > all. Seriously, the weights are nice to customize the mouse to your preferred weight. As for the bloatware* included, I don't even have it installed. Sensitivity can be adjusted on the mouse. | Same here. I've been using my MX518 for about two years now, I think. If my MX518 ever broke, I would buy another the very same day. |

| I think when i go over to NCIX, i'll ask to see both mice if possible. For now, i'm leaning toward the G5. E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz 2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz gigabyte P35 S3L eVGA 7600GT Stock 120 gig seagate ULTRA X-Finity 600w Sonata 2 w/ top fan G5 Lazer Mouse |
