Default Logitec Harmony

Anyone ever use one of these? Any model? I am looking at the 880, and the 720. Looks like a fun toy to go with my other toys. These TV remotes are so good you can even program them to turn your ceiling fans on and off. HA!
I would just like to know if anyone has one and how you like it.

I have to admit most of those Harmony's look nice but being cheap like I am, I havent been able to part with my money yet to pick one up. I have however used many other remotes (IR and RF).

I currenlty use a ATI Remote Wonder Plus RF remote (even though I dont have an ATI card) for my HTPC. I use X10 commander to reprogram the buttons since the ATI program doesnt allow that.

I also have this One For All Kameleon 8 URC-9960 Remote Control as a universal and to control my X10 outlets/lights. It is actually pretty nice but the batteries run down fairly fast. So I put it on a shelf until I can pick me up some rechargables for it.

They're real tight remotes. You can program a load of things. I like the fact that a single button can turn on your Xbox, TV, and speakers though... I think that's just with the Logitech Xbox remote, but I think any of them should be able to do that.

I'm in the same boat as Prolific. They look pretty nifty, but I just can't bring myself to spend $50 to $100 on something to play around with. Maybe when I get to the point where I have a pressing need for one I'll pick one up, but for now I'm stuck at the desk with the keyboard and mouse...

However, I would love to hear about anyone's personal experiences with a Harmony Remote (or something similar).

$50 to $100? More like $100 to $200 for the good ones.

Went to costco yesterday to buy this remote and couldnt bring myself to drop 180.00 on a freaking remote! The wife is just going to have to learn how to work the TV with the 5 remotes I have now. I have gotten most of the functions on 1 remote, but I still need the others for the small things like aspect veiw of the TV and the surround sound on the receiver.

Right after setting up our home system, I was in pretty much the same boat as you. I went looking for a remote that would 1. Have a learning function, 2. Have an LCD panel, 3. Be inexpensive. 4. Be intuitive enough for the wife to learn it. Needless to say, with a budget of no more than $75, I didn't find anything to fit the bill.
