LaCie drive doesn't show up!!

Just out of the blue my LaCie usb/firewire 250gb drive doesn't show up anywhere on all my 3 computers I tried USB and Firewire and nothing at all even in the disk manager tool

How can i get it to appear??

Hmm...I would say make sure the computer's USB ports are alright, but you've tried on all 3 systems and all USB ports?

Few other things. Make sure the cable you're using to connect the device to the system is good. And make sure the port in the back of the device is alright - it may not be. You can definitely test the cable, but I'm not sure how you'll go about testing the port...

Well I tried both the USB and firewire ports with different cables and nothing I hear the drive spin at startup but that's it

Hmm...try inserting the cable and restarting the computer...

I tried all that.... all I have is a drive spinning but nothing else first time I get thi problem usually I can see the drive in the disk management window but not this time

I found the problem I put the drie in another enclosure and it's like nothing ever happened, so I guess something is wrong with the LaCie enclosure

So even the Great LaCie has these issues... We aren't the only ones!!!

That enclosure goes in the grabage it's way to old to be replaced.
