| I need to find a way - if there is one - to disable the hotkey functions on my wife's keyboard. She was writing a really long RP email last night, and right before she was going to send it, she turned to me to say something when a cat walked over the keyboard, hit some key and deleted it. She was not impressed. I checked her BIOS (nothing there) and some of the control panel settings, but I can't figure out how to disable them. Is there a way to do this? If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |

| Modder-ator | I think the solution here is to keep the cat off the keyboard! HAHA Anyway, the cat probably hit Ctrl + A (for select all) and then the delete key. As for disabling the use of any keyboard shortcuts, I have no idea, sorry. |

The email was actually in AOL's "Mail waiting to be sent" folder (I know, I know...AOL...), and was selected and so was the first one in line for sending - or deletion. I tried everything to get it back, but it was just off into electronic oblivion. On both my system and hers, the registry key that link mentions only reads the default value entry (value not set) and another entry that reads NoDriveTypeAutoRun 0x00000091 (145) If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! | |
