Default HD just disapear

This is the weirdest thing that ever happened to me. I was extracting some stuff with winrar and out of the blue I got an error "wrting delay" that the location couldn't be found. A second error message poped up and said that this location couldn't be found. The hard drive is gone I cannot find it anywhere even with the disk manager.

Is this on your primary HDD that has the Operating System installed on it or a secondary drive? Have you opened your computer to make sure the cables and connections are correct and in place? You can also check in the BIOS to make sure the drive is being recognized and initialized by the motherboard. If it doesn't show up in the BIOS and you have everything connected properly, it is possible that the drive has failed and needs to be replaced. If all else fails, you could also try connecting it to another computer to see if it is recognized.

+1 ditto
try connecting to another computer, its either the HDD is dying out or the motherboard socket for HDD is shorted...

Bios recognition should be up...

I rebooted my comp and the drive showed up again!!

It's a secondary drive not the OS one, the error messages where pretty fast one said something about the drive is offline.
