| Is it possible to ghetto-rig up an LCD using a LCD panel from a laptop? They're incredibly cheap on eBay. | Drew, when I saw your link I was almost afraid to click on it. I thought the "Q" in FAQ was a "G". ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| Thanks Drew, that's what I needed. I guess I won't do that. There are some 17" screens going for about $80 (Buy it Now). | yeah dude, with desktop LCDs as cheap as they are, there's no need to spend $150 or more on a controller card. It would be nice to be able to use all those nice old LCDs though! and Ty people see what they want to see!!!! :P |

| Nah, I don't have the money yet. I'll wait a month or two. This is for the old beater Dell anyways. I've decided to upgrade it by doing the following: 1.4GHz Celeron CPU - entire conversion process will cost me $50 80GB IDE HD - about $46 shipped new on the Egg. Some Wireless adapter (PCI or USB) - should be under $20. 17" LCD - $50-100 (doubt I'll do this). I'm getting the wireless and the CPU first. Quote:
