Default Formatting a USB drive

how do you format a USB thumb drive to update BIOS? Formatting using the Windows appication doesn't give you the choice.

Great link Capper. Another good read is Drew's guide to Getting the Most out of Your USB Key...

Well, on my new rig, I Don't have a floppy drive () so i used the Windows Enabler. I worked alright, but on a 1GB thumb drive, windows says that the thumb drive doesn't have enough space to fit the new BIOS file.

Suggestions?

You are doing something wrong, because the standard BIOS file is actually very small.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with Windows Enabler (never heard of it before acually). What exactly are you trying to do? If you are just trying to flash the BIOS on your motherboard, I would suggest using Winflash (available for download HERE...)
