Unhappy Dead monitor

Yet another hardware failure! I was in the kitchen cooking some noodles today when I heard a funny noise coming from the computer. When I went in there, the monitor was flashing on and off. It kept doing it until it wouldn't show anything at all.

I had to take the old beige monitor I was using for my birdy rig out of my room to use on the family PC until my parents buy a new monitor.

I feel for you, really I do... my best looking monitor died on me not too long ago, and I had to resort to my old backup from the closet, too. Being a family man, my budget doesn't really have a new monitor as a priority, but DANG I miss the old flat screen.

It was an eMachines and I had it for about two years I think. My grandpa gave it to me when they got their new Dell, and they had just boughten it brand new (no, no warranty on this thing since we're not the original owner, and my grandpa's would be void now anyways). I'm trying to get my parents to buy this monitor. I want to buy one for myself as well.
