LOL. Couldn't they have used a laptop hard drive to keep it pocket sized?

If they weren't worried about pocket size then why not go with a 500GB drive?

Or put a raid controller and put several drives. ;)

i think i saw some hilarious like this one too...
not sure what it was but its like this dude was trying to buy like a 50gb mp3 player right? and the store clerk gave him like a 200 gb + mp3...SOOOOOOOOOO! BIG....and the customer is like why the fudge would i buy this? and the store clerk goes BECAUSE ITS HALF PRICE! i think it was form a commercial or a dream but it left me laughing thats for sure

I mean c'mon, one of the benefits of ipod is that they are tiny and can fit in the 5th pocket, this mod defeats the purpose. My 320gb WD hdd in my PC holds alot more songs.
