Default Blake's Creative X-Fi review

Make sure you check out Blake awesome review of Creative's X-Fi Extreme Music Edition.
I have to say that I'm incredibly impressed by his first review effort.

Thank you! :D

I just wanted to follow up to this review by adding that I tested the benchmarks while in Entertainment Mode as well as in Gaming Mode and saw absolutely no difference in performance or sound. All testing was therefor done in Entertainment Mode.

Terrific review, Blake!

Kudos for being honest about common installation ... uh... "Issues". I hope others considering this card will heed your warnings; It's common to have installation problems with creative sound cards. I'm piping up cuz I experienced those "issues" with a creative Audigy over a year ago and this review opened old wounds. (boo hoo to me, eh?) Figures Creative hasn't made strides in reducing "Support Issues".

If your considering this card, visit creatives forums. It'll be an eye opening experience.

(crap, blake really likes this card and I'm thinkin about updateing. Do I go through that install Hell again? I swore off creative over a year ago. decisions, decisions...)

Indeed, it's also nice to read an honest review, for better or worse. Nicely done Blake. 8)
