Added a second internal HD but it isn't being picked up. Any thoughts?

Is RAID turned off in the BIOS?
The computer may have put the two HD's in RAID for you, that would be why it's only seeing one HD.

If it's not formatted already you may have to go into control panel->administrative tools->computer management->disk management. Then find the disk in the list, right click on it, and create a partition on it.

I'll check bios setup for RAID config shortly. I checked before and BIOS does see new drive. Disk Management shows all the drives - C and E (partitioned from C) plus new drive. It says "unallocated" though. How do I enable the new drive and name it so I can use it?

Select the un-allocated space and partition it, then format.

Yep, it's not showing up because there's no partition. Without a partition, Windows can't do much with the drive other then let you know it exists. You can partition it through Drew's way, or by using the Windows install disc.

Disk 0 is partitioned into C and E
New disk shows up as Disk 1.

If I right click on the "Disk 1" I get these options
New Spanned Volume (grayed out)
New Striped Volume (grayed out)
Convert to Dynamic Disk
Convert to GPT Disk
Properties
Help

Right clicking on the actual "Unallocated Space" gets these options
New Simple Volume
New Spanned Volume (grayed out)
New Striped Volume (grayed out)
Properties
Help

Which one of these do I want?

I think New Simple Volume is what you want.

What you are seeing as to "New Striped" sort of implies RAID.

Right clicking on the Unallocated space should bring up the option to Partition the drive.

I am assuming this to be a SATA drive?

Winging it here, but in your BIOS under Advanced settings are you seeing anything along the lines of "Configure IDE as RAID" or any RAID technology "Enabled"?

My guess is your BIOS has a setting configured for RAID. Pure speculation. That is why the refrence to stripe.
