| I'm Evil | Not legally. I know there are various hacked versions floating around, but nothing you can go out and buy at a retailer. INTEL QX9650 ASUS P5E3 Premium 4GB DDR3-1600 Sapphire HD 3870X2 Danger Den Tower-26 (Custom W/C) 5 x Seagate 250GB HDD in RAID5 BFG ES 800W PSU |

| I'm Diggin it! | Yep, you'd have to buy a Mac. Apple PC's are using Intel based CPU's now, and running a Mac OS on them, but you'd have to own a Mac to get the OS legally. | if you have a core duo or dore 2 duo it helps a lot in the process. other than that, try kubuntu with beryl and some goofy plugins with beryl. if she can tell the difference (aside from final cut) i'd give you the thumbs up for picking a good wife =P |

| All legal issues aside, we also can't recommend running OS X on a white box because it has very poor internal hardware support. As far as Kubuntu is concerned, I would stay as far away from it as you can. It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of KDE, but my reason for saying this is that it's a very poor implementation of the KDE core in Ubuntu. As an old friend of mine once said, it's the perfect example of why not to install KDE on a Gnome-based distribution. If you like KDE, there are plenty of good KDE-based distributions, or even better, distributions that are broad and large enough to support multiple desktop environments exceptionally well, such as Fedora Core. If you're interested in Gnome, Ubuntu is still an excellent way to go for most people. |
