What Is 'Cancelling The Download Of Subscription Rights' Message
i was playing fansubed videos and wedding video when i decided to close Windows Media Player then all of sudden it displayed across the desktop 'Cancelling The Download Of Subscription Rights' Message it wont let me close it and it just keep continuing until the progress bar finished then it closed by itself.

anyone have any idea what is this message for?
the funsub video is perfectly legal and my wedding video is all copyright to myself so i dont know why would that thing do it...

It only does this for those two videos or is this a recurring thing? Screwballl's suggestion is a very good one actually, but you might also want to run a Spyware scan just to make sure there aren't any loose ends...

i just run a Adaware and nothing was found running Avg AV nothing as of now...

whenever there are new rights such as your own personal home video, it has to download new usage rights... you should be able to turn it off in the WMP settings somewhere.... I almost never use it anymore but I do have everything shut off possible and all connections to the internet are blocked with my software firewall so it doesn't phone home

Mine did the same thing. My problem is that my Window Media Player won't record mp3 anymore, any ideas?

once it updates the DRM for the media you are dealing with, in some cases if it is an illegal mp3 or if it finds that there is no DRM it starts causing problems trying to download the "rights" to use that music which can cause more problems then anything. This is why I use Winamp for music and VLC for video, never a problem.
