Sure it's been around torrents and such for a while, but here's the official RC2 from MS's website:

goodie I have a few computers I can test it on. I never got the usual invite from MS on my Connections area so never got the chance for this beta test

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Wow... I don't have any computers running xp anymore that I can test this on, they're all running vista or ubuntu now. Hmm.... might have to put xp back on one of my computers if sp3 if nifty enough.

Can someone report back on this and tell us how good it is or if it is even a step up?
Thanks,

I haven't tested it yet, but I read an article a could months ago that was talking about SP3, it said it was supposedly going to leave Vista in the dust.
Speed wise.
I don't think that's going to be completely true, but I may just stick with XP SP3 instead of Vista....

I've been using SP3 for a month or so on my work and home PCs, and so far it's been fine. I've had no glitches/issues/problems. There's a few small differences, and XP does seem to be a bit quicker (supposedly can increase XP performance roughly 10%, though I have no idea how true that is). All in all, I have found no reason not to use it.

just wondering, for the RC's, is there anyway to just upgrade to live? or you gotta uninstall then upgrade to the live release.
