When I start to browse certain aerial view with Google Earth. The problems occur when I trying to zoom for close view, the windows is shutting down and the message below appear;

Check to be sure yo have adequate disk space. If a driver iss identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for drivers aupdate. Try changig video adapters.

Disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.

For information, I use Acer Aspire 4920. 1.83 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, 160 GB HD.

try updating your bios first and check if the 160hd is sufficiently partitioned, most of the time they tend to allot only a portion of the 160hd as storage and the rest is for recovery as most prefab computers now-a-days....

then let us know if it help...
also try updating your Videocard drivers...

After doing that, it might be a good idea to consider adding more RAM. 512 is a serviceable amount, but what your problem looks like to me is that Windows is hitting the page file for extra RAM needs and it is too small.

You can increase the size of it and allieviate the problem, but the long term solution is another stick of RAM. That way no going to the hard disk for memory needs - it stays in RAM where it belongs and it'll be a lot faster and a lot smoother.

(Guys feel free to double check me, been up for 21 hours now!)

Hanifer-

I definitely agree with OcciferFriendly - get more RAM to alleviate that GoogleEarth error, and to speed up lots of other applications.

Doubly so if your Acer has integrated graphics processor, because IGP uses up some system memory and that starves your operatting system and applications. (Moreover, if it is IGP, the BIOS may limit the memory allocated to IGP such that you'll never be able to zoom superclose anyway).
If your Acer uses DDR2, you'll be happy to know DDR2 is dirt cheap right now! (Example: I bought 2x1GB DDR2-533Mhz dual channel Kingston ValueRam kit for my brother for Xmas for a mere ~$30 for his HP/Compaq laptop, runs his Vista MUCH better!)
But *DO* be sure to buy only memory that is listed as COMPATIBLE with your model.

Since you said you're not familiar with flashing BIOS, and I doubt a newer BIOS would fix GoogleEarth error anyway , I recommend NOT flashing it. (It ain't broke, don't flash it). But you should check the settings in current BIOS for caching and shadowing as the GoogleEarth error message suggests.

And consider installing updated video drivers from Acer website.

Fingers X'd for you.
