First its usually not good to mention cracked or illegal anything here, can get you into some trouble

Second, it all depends on your use. If you plan to use 4GB or more of memory then 64bit is the only way to go. Otherwise for 3GB or less, you are better off with 32-bit simply because of drivers and software compatibility. In another few years when Windows7 is out, you may as well go 64-bit at that time but for now it is really an immature platform that is not suggested for every day systems.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

If you get the retail version (not OEM) of Vista 32-bit I think you should be able to get a 64-bit version mailed to you from Microsoft for a few bucks, that way you can have both! I'll see if I can dig up a link...

OOPs, wont mention it again, sorry

The main use I give to my system is gaming, Ms office, CS2 so i guess that you are right and i will go for the 32 bits version.

Thanks

Damn, I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, just a couple things here and there of people saying they've done it. Has anyone here purchased the full retail version of Vista 32-bit? Was there any kind of cupon or instructions with it on how to get a 64-bit disk? I swear there must be a way to do it!

EDIT:

Found it! (link)

That link above is for English, North America. If you need something else, you need to select the appropriate language/region in the drop down box at the bottom of this page...

Very nice blake!
Thanks for that link

I've heard that people have lots of driver problems with vista 64 bit?
Is that true?
