| Paint Shop Pro, Photopaint and PhotoImpact can also open/edit PSD files, to a limited extent. I haven't really ever needed these programs (I own a copy of Photoshop, and don't bother with cheap imitations )I don't think you can truly edit a complex PSD file without Photoshop, adjustment layers, curves, Layer styles, etc will either screw up the image when imported into another program or it will just merge the effects and give you separated layers. I would suggest saving up the money and buying PS, (if you're a student, you can get 1/2 - 2/3 % off the retail price with Educational pricing) About $275 for Edu. version. || AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice | Asus A8N5X s939 | OCZ Premier PC3200 Du-Ch 1GB | Sapphire X1600Pro 512MB PCI-e | 1xWD 80Gb & 1xWD 250Gb Sata(s) | Antec SLK3800B Case | Enermax NoiseTaker 485W || | ||||||||||||||
